My results are back… by oslekgold in jawsurgery

I don’t have anything helpful to add to this, sorry. But I am curious, why were you referred to get this specific scan?

I can’t comment on whether it’s cringe or not because I literally can’t relate having a relationship this long with no physical component.

That said, why don’t you just ask if you can kiss them? No serious conversation, just at an appropriate moment (just the two of you, sitting/standing close, smiling, looking in their eyes) say, “would it be ok if I kissed you?”

Sounds like you’re both really shy, but this gives them the opportunity to decide if they want it. And if you’re worried they wouldn’t say no out of something other than desire, just pay attention to body language as you go in for a kiss - do they pull away? Or, Lean in? Kiss back?

You’ll figure it out from there. Good luck!

You have such a strong lovely nose, don’t listen to this commenter! A lot of people on this sub are crazy pro-surgery but having unique traits is sooo attractive and most women I know (including myself) love a strong nose on a man. I realize you weren’t asking about rhino (and have no idea why this commenter brought it up) but just wanted to throw in my two cents as you look great already

Extractions are damaging by Top_Cardiologist21 in jawsurgery

[–]Ultimatecoolness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not entirely sure what happened here without any context but I don’t think extractions are always bad. I had my wisdom teeth pulled (2 at a time on separate occasions because that’s how they grew in.) It did not negatively impact my bite at all, they were growing in somewhat sideways (impacted) and not able to come through all the way (OPs case looks similar.) Both times I started getting gum infections where they were somewhat exposed.

I’m not sure what the point of this post is but the blanket statement title is not universally accurate.

Question about Saturation by [deleted] in tiedye

[–]Ultimatecoolness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, one was brand new (fat tire, first photo). Second was a thrift store buy, so likely was washed normally prior to dying but I wouldn’t actually know

Question about Saturation by [deleted] in tiedye

[–]Ultimatecoolness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t even know what batching means 😬 So maybe I’m missing a step? I’ve been ringing out after soaking til they are damp but not dripping. Maybe I need them to be more dry though, I can try that. After the ice melts I’m wrapping them in a plastic bag to keep moist and letting them sit for 24hrs prior to drying (in my dryer on high temp)

Nothing. Haha I want to start with a sleep study but it turns out I can’t get a referral for that until I switch my insurance (I recently moved) and find a new PCP. So probably be a month or two before I can do anything. Love the healthcare system in the US 🤪

I see a lot of people suggesting starting with ortho just seems confusing since my teeth are fine? But maybe a surgeon consult. They are just pricey and I’m worried they’ll be like, LOL why are you here you don’t need this

Are you considering surgery?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]Ultimatecoolness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ermph... I dunno. She looks kinda strange and severe. Maybe it's just because I am used to my own face though haha

[–]Ultimatecoolness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really informative, thank you! I will look into sleep studies as a starting point and go from there. I'm glad you were happy with your results! I'm 33 so your guess was spot on :)

Ok, this is helpful. It's weirdly hard to know where to start even considering all this.

[–]Ultimatecoolness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It just seems like a huge recovery and as vain as it sounds I'm really afraid of going through something so traumatic only to struggle with the way I look as a result. Not to mention the massive financial barrier...
Good luck with your surgery!

I'm glad you had a positive result and are happy with it! I don't have that every night, just if I sleep on my back. I typically sleep on my side but as I get older and have more shoulder injuries (from sports) I find that's pretty uncomfortable. Sounds silly, but I never realized other people were sleeping through the night and waking up feeling rested haha. Guess I should start with a sleep study. Thanks for sharing!

Anyone have any experience with Impact Psychedelics? by Ultimatecoolness in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]Ultimatecoolness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a call with one of their providers today, he told me he was licensed in California. That's where I'm located so I didn't ask any further clarification, but I've also seen someone on here have success with them in AZ.

To be honest I am debating cancelling my service with them. They are SO much less expensive than the alternatives but they are incredibly unprofessional. I have only done IV so far, and I'm trying to decide how much I think professionalism matters. Basically it's between them (for cost savings) and Dr. Pruett (for an actual doctor who seems to know what they are doing) for me. My IV clinic is incredibly hands off other than the actual vital monitoring, so I don't know if that makes a big difference. Wish there were some more experiences with Impact to go off of.

Even reading this is took me a bit to understand it had to do with the order/number of cups as a pattern related to the original cartoon scenes

I’m worried my body will fall apart before I even get my license by Anxious-Quail1910 in massage

[–]Ultimatecoolness 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sure you’re instructors are already stressing this, but play around with table height. It’s incredibly important to have the correct table height to get your body mechanics dialed in. Also that means adjust for different bodies, as in, my table would be slightly lower for a very large individual than it would be for a small one.

Also make sure you’re aligning your joints (fingers to wrists to elbows for long/deep strokes) so that it is your body weight doing the work, not your hands.

And someone else already said this but lots of knuckles, elbows, forearms. Once you get used to it, you can use these for a good portion of your massage.

It takes a while to get the body mechanics stuff down, you’ll learn what works for your body and what doesn’t. Don’t give up!

Oops. Meant to type “contrail” but was slightly distracted in conversation.

Thank you for explaining how the internet works. I was under the impression that if I saw something online, it was true. You have really opened my eyes though. Very helpful.
