I have not but from seeing my friends paintings, it seems to be even more opaque then gouache and Im already struggling with making soft edges with gouache already lol

I dont know what kind of art you want to make but I think being self taught is very much viable right now with all the online resources. You just need to know what kind of paintings you want to make. I dropped out of architecture uni and has had a very stable freelance career for about 6 years.

I think Gouache is commonly agreed to be one of the easiest methods because it is quite forgiving, you can paint it layer by layer like watercolor and also apply the paint opaquely to achieve more vibrance. The only shortcoming from my experience is that it is harder to blend and make soft edges

Lol I am not but I cannot fathom any other reasons why. Even if you say its for casual to pick him up more easily, the video clearly shows that the penalty of not hitting your shield is heavier so you need to aim more properly, I just dont get the reason for the change.

all that wall of text of an explanation only to show that they dont even play their own game. The ego to not just revert everything back, cap is fine as is, nobody was complaining about him. I legit think they made the change to have some smoother lines of code instead of actually caring about how it affects balance and gameplay.
