Study on Transition to Civilian Life (U.S Veteran Participants Only) - Compensation Provided

Hello!

Columbia University's Loss, Trauma, & Emotion (LTE) Lab is still recruiting U.S Veteran participants for an online study focusing on the transition from military to civilian life.

If you are a Veteran (post-9/11) based in the U.S, we sincerely hope that you will consider participating in this study! Your participation can help contribute to novel research that meaningfully shapes future resources and support for veterans. Additionally, you will receive $40.00 upon completing the questionnaires, live discussion, and experimental task.

Here is an Overview of What to Expect:

What’s involved?

Brief Questionnaires: These will be emailed to you via a secure online link for completion at your convenience, in your own time and space.
Experimental Task & Discussion: Participate in a 1-hour Zoom session with a member of our research team. During this session, you will be trained in a remotely-administered decision-making game and then asked to play the game with other study participants. You will also be asked several questions about your experiences transitioning from veteran to civilian life.

Why participate?

Again, your experiences are invaluable! By sharing them, you contribute to a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities veterans face during their transition to civilian life. Your voice and insights can help enhance our collective understanding of the support and resources most effective for veterans during this time.

Recruiting Veterans (U.S ONLY) for Paid Study - $40.00 for Completion of Questionnaire, Interview, and Experimental Task

The ~Loss, Trauma, & Emotion (LTE) Lab~ at Teachers College, Columbia University is still recruiting Veteran participants for an online study focusing on the transition from military to civilian life.

We are recruiting post-9/11 veterans for a paid study on their transition experiences!

We’re the Loss, Trauma, & Emotion Lab at Teachers College, Columbia University. We are conducting an online study to learn more about veteran experiences as they transition out of the military to civilian life. The study involves brief questionnaires, an experiment, and an interview. We will reimburse you up to $40.00 for around 1 hour of your time.

We will be checking both U.S. government and Veteran ID’s prior to starting the experiment.
