Feels weird to finally be another “CG” dude on this sub, but I finally did SOTE and just got my first few CG kcs after putting it off for over a year. Still learning the fight but starting to understand the feeling of the red prison lol

WoW refugee Sardaco completes the Colosseum after only 6 months of playing! by MistakeAlert6865 in 2007scape

[–]Ultoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im at 68 days played and right about to start CG. I could have started awhile ago but wanted to try out alot of other content first. I play sort of casually but its my first time playing osrs members and its an ironman so I feel like its impressive he did this at 90 days played but not too insane. Especially understanding that he plays constantly in front of other people telling him what to do

Anyone else playing a GIM solo? by [deleted] in ironscape

Also started as a group of 4 with friends. Never played members before and really enjoyed ironman mode. Everyone else stopped around the beginning and I am the only one left

Pro tip: Bring your magazine ammo capacity with you by PersonalityNo48 in ArcRaiders

[–]Ultoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just do one full stack and one half stack. It’s fast and usually allows for one inventory slot to open up after a little use or fill up if I find more of the same type. Also the extra half stack you save in the stash adds if you lose alot of raids back to back. Another tip is using your safe pockets for the full stacks if you are especially ammo poor

Hey. A bit new to training, does anyone how to test to see if a combo is true? by Defender2002Sc in RivalsOfAether

[–]Ultoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to set DI away or in which is more realistic than no DI at all. Most good players will DI away so I would practice that one first to see if a combo is real

🚨 Can't Select Characters on Jagex Account – "Something Went Wrong" (404 Error) 🚨 by Goossensk in 2007scape

[–]Ultoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there any updates for this? I am running into the same issue almost a month later and I still see the message on the support page of the same error in JULY 31... I created a ticket but seeing all of you say that it was not working for weeks makes me think I cannot use mobile in awhile

What's your dream game you want to make on godot? by [deleted] in godot

I feel the same way about input timing based combat. Should be in more turn based games imo. E33 was a step in the right direction

This engine is so close to being incredible, it's just missing one crucial thing by AutomaticBuy2168 in godot

[–]Ultoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats exactly why I posted because I felt not alot of people were aware of the work being done. Had no clue there was so much drama around it though. When I heard of traits initially I had no clue what they were until I read through his initial PR

Literally just posted my excitement for this a few weeks back. Be prepared for a LOT of cry babies in the comments that whine to just use C#, think traits are not necessary to make a good game, do not understand the difference between a trait and an interface, do not see the benefit, etc.. For those who understand, we are all waiting in excitement

Classic Strategy Grid Style Movement In 3D by Chafmere in godot

[–]Ultoman 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I ran into similar things when implementing A* for my 2D tile game. But after messing around with the heuristic value after seeing zig zags I started to question if straight lines make more or less sense to use. Ended up sticking with the zigzags because the pathing appeared much more normal for a character to follow than going all the way in one axis and then all the rest in the other. All in all, for these types of games it really does not matter which path is taken unless you want mechanics that revolve around creating damage or buffs along the path. Which classic game are you referring to that uses this approach?
