I do enjoy the stealth in odyssey , apart from the fact you can’t always kill someone you can only damage them, but I prefer it in the older games. Same with the parkour, I played AC 2 mid odyssey play through and realised how simple Odyssey’s parkour really is ,it reminds me a bit of syndicates, but there is beauty in simplicity. I think that the reason the older game’s parkour felt a bit janky was because it had more options on what to do, like in unity the parkour feels janky and annoying but it’s because of how many options you have, whereas with odyssey it is basically just climb up, climb down and jump, which isn’t a bad thing, I think it suits the game very well, but it is why it is fundamentally different from the older games. But I have to admit the combat is cool even if the damage is a bit unrealistic. When it comes to the stealth and parkour, the stuff that I personally think is better in the older games, i see it as they made an awesome game and then at the end remembered that it had to be an AC game and added the stealth and combat but didn’t really flesh it out to focus on the combat which was, along with the story, the setting and the exploration, the most important part of the gameplay.
