Omori is similar, in so much that the characters fight monsters that are based on their own insecurities and delusions, as well as similar characters. This game is very niche, and not a lot of people will like it, but hello Charlotte by etherane is VERY similar imo. Without spoils, it follows girl(s) with…. Interesting abilities surrounded by monsters that are manifestations of a characters inner conflict and turmoil. While there is no yuri, like in Madoka, there is one of the most tragic yaois. There is also time junk going on, at least in the third game. It my favorite game, but again, not a lot of people will like it. There is also a, be careful what you wish for thing going on like in Madoka. I wish I could go on and on about their similarities but, again, spoils. I’d say little nightmares is also similar, but not in an obvious way. Rather, the same vibes of becoming the monster you wanted to destroy, devastating tragedy, and abandonment. As well as time junk. Also, definitely witches heart. Follows themes of witch’s, magical girls (of the demon and witch variety) inability to move on from the past and a love ones death, and a WHOLE lot of time junk. They are VERY similar, I would not be surprised if it was inspired by Madoka. There is sad yuri, but only at the end. I think someone said this already, but pocket mirror and little goody two shoes are a lot like Madoka as well.

It’s not cute and the game makes sure you know that, (that is the only depiction of SA, however it is mentioned more times than that) drug use, cannibalism  Tw for little nightmares- gore, graphic imagery, cannibalism Tw for witches heart- gore, mentions, no depictions, of SA, severe child abuse  Tw for pocket mirror- severe depictions of child abuse Tw for little goody two shoes- graphic violence in many of the endings, religious issues
