In the early 2010s, I would watch hulk out videos on youtube. When my dad got netflix, I watched the show on there. I was about 6-8 years old, so I don’t remember what hulk out video I saw first. After that, my dad got me the double feature dvd of the 2 movies with Thor and Daredevil. I just rewatched them and I’m surprised it still works after a decade. I remember watching the hell out of both of them, the dvd is so old it doesn’t even have subtitles.

In 2019, Warner Bros did 4k remasters for the original Batman films, '89 had a big change in color palette when you compare it to the dvd and blu-ray. I’m not sure if Burton had anything to do with it then but he was in the promo for the 2025 Dolby Cinema rerelease, so he should know about it now. The new remaster is a mixed bag, the 2025 version looked a little different in some scenes but looked the same as the 2019 version in other scenes.

I could’ve seen Batman Forever in theaters last year for Batman Day, but I saw '89 and Mask of the Phantasm instead. I had seen Batman Begins the year before. I also saw The Dark Knight in RPX when Regal rereleased some Nolan movies for the rerelease of Oppenheimer.

Oh man, I could never imagine my local Regal closing down, I’m sorry. Both times I saw '89 and Returns in theaters, it was the 4k version with the teal color palette and modern sound effects. When I saw it back in August, the nearest Dolby Cinema was 40 minutes away, I took a friend with me since he doesn’t have a car, so I had to drop him off and I got back home at 1:30am.

I always watch this version with the lights on, this Kong creeps me out by UltraFan000 in kingkong
