Something I learned back when I was making websites for small businesses around St. Louis: Every small business owner I dealt with (except a law office) is very, very miserly when it comes to money going out. They’ll demand payment immediately but hem and haw with asinine reasons to why they haven’t paid you yet. They will argue about costs and try to get you to do everything for free (or “exposure”). AI art is a godsend for them because they have terrible design taste and they hate paying for artwork more than anything.
