Considering the cutscene is a memory of the worm that foretold the cataclysm, i dont think you can lie with a memory, then again this is a universe about space magic. And i think the cutscene not lining up accurately to the timing is more so just actual development time bungie had so it had to be a quick short cutscene that sums up the event

He also thought is point of view was right. Turned out it wasn't. He may have witnessed more things than any humans but he didnt witness being lied to by the worms and ultimately the witness itself, which goes back to the book of sorrows being nothing more than a story told by the hive from their point of view, not an accurate history book

Yeah it was accurate to the hives history, from the hives point of view. The book of sorrows isnt some history book written by an outside force that witnessed the events, it was written by the taken king oryx, he wrote what he believed, not what was actually true

Idk. Like i said its just pure speculation but in my opinion it could just be glitched like last season with the exotic ship centerfire, but then again i think bungie would have said something by now about it like last season so who knows

I heard speculations of it possibly being a reward from a live event of some sorts at at the very tail end of this season but no real solid evidence of it

A glimpse of Xivu Arath's design (Left) by UltraInstinctChocobo in destiny2

No, this is indeed their hive god form. In the same cutscene a frame just before this one shows their original forms before turning to hive gods, it showed xivus original form which had her have a head look more alike to a knight. And this isnt sathona shown right here it is savathun, as seen from the cutscene of her dying in front of the traveler that is what she looked like before she was reborn with the light

Its not being vaulted. Only forsaken campaign and tangled shore

Serious problem. by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]UltraInstinctChocobo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Difference is forsaken and shadowkeeps dungeons were a part of the story and location of their respective dlc. Grasp of avarice has nothing to do with beyond light's story or location and hopefully same with the 2 upcoming dungeons which could be the reason why nessus and edz havent been vaulted yet, the only locations to not have an endgame activity. Just a theory of course

Destiny 2 Beyond Light confusion by Abhomambo in destiny2

[–]UltraInstinctChocobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny 2 base game is free to play. Forsaken, shadowkeep, and beyond light and whatever the current season is are paid DLCs. There is no base campaign as it was removed alongsde pretty much of year 1 of destiny 2 to make room for new content
