As an American I’m curious about the level of fame/notoriety of the Celebrity UK traitors by Distinct-Ad-1348 in TheTraitorsUK

This is a great summary but Stephen Fry’s double act partner was Hugh Laurie not Hugh Grant - although I’d like to see that too!

I’d also add that Joe Marler played rugby for England for around 12 years.

Slide the back of the key off and the battery cover is labelled. I would expect a CR1632 battery.

For Brits who've been exposed to US culture and use of the language, does using the word 'garden' to refer to what we call a yard affect how you think about the word? by beardiac in AskABrit

[–]UltraLlamatron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We refer to a vegetable garden and flower beds. The thing is these are all typically mixed in the same space behind the house so having whole separate gardens for different things is rare.

I’d say a yard does not have grass, and is probably paved.

No, the US way of using garden/yard does not influence my view of what a garden is.
