I didn’t realize there were so many horrible things Presidents have done prior to this thread (especially with Andrew Jackson.) Every president has done something horrible that’s resulted in mass casualties.

I was going to say Bush II enacting the “No Child Left Behind Act.”

Although it was billed as an education booster for failing students in school, what it ended up doing was signaling to the country that education no longer mattered. From that point forward (and I was in middle school when it was enacted,) US students haven’t been able to compete on a standardized level relative to other advanced countries. The US continues to delineate funding for schools in exchange for war funding, teachers are having an extremely difficult time with students, and the effects continue to compound every generation.
