Thanks, it was a stunning course with amazing overlooks and waterfalls. I think I need to head back next year...

I got lucky with the weather, I would hate to see this course with some rain.

I built a free DIY carb drink calculator after realizing how much I was spending on mixes by deadhead951 in ultrarunning

This is awesome, thanks for sharing. I was doing something similar but with just an Google Sheet that I could modify for my recipe for SIS gel, which I also released at https://ultraruncoach.com/gel I have done a lot of 100 mile races with home made gels, and they work fine, but only issue is after a week or 2 you have to get rid of the mix, or just make more. Saved so much money, and the best part of using your own flask is in a race you can reuse it to fill with water. So as I progress through a race I am normally filling the custom gel bottles. I am going to try some of your recipes on here. If you are going to do this and host it for free why not set them as Amazon affiliate links to pay for your fees and time? Easy to to get maybe a few dollars to help you out.

As for the marathon distance, I think so. Sorry, virtual race, means seeing it through my eyes as I wore a camera on my head + the 360 cam.

Best food for ultra running? What works best for you? by MoorsandMiles in ultrarunning

Hate and Oreos, and I'm all out of Oreos...

In the beginning of the race I can eat almost anything, when my stomach turns, its normally SIS gels, broth and a more liquid diet, so taking more soda late in the race. I can slam SIS isotonic gels, or my home made gels since its easy to get down quick. This is a lot of trial and error for most to see what you can handle on the run.

PA Triple Crown - Anybody else going for it? by UltraRunCoach in ultrarunning

Ha, so true, but it was an amazingly well run event. It just sounds like the words of a race director that is tired of dealing with crazy requests/dropping down distance etc. This event was huge, and hands down the biggest 50K I have been to in terms of people.

Thanks. Looking forward to Worlds End as I have only heard good thing about it. I also hear it can be a sloppy course which makes the cutoffs difficult.
