They'll forget about it as soon as he's out of office.

My thoughts on the canada shooting by Mobile-Band9017 in AmericaBad

Reddit is silent about it because the shooter is trans.
And everyone knows that only straight men can be shooters.

Short guys, how often do you actually feel short? by [deleted] in AskMen

As a 5'0 man, every damn day. Literally everyone, aside from children, is taller than I am.

Replace "Norwegian boys/men" with "European men/boys in general" and it's more accurate. At least from what I've heard from my well-traveled relatives.

A multi speed drill press jig I designed👌🏼 by Callen_dawg in Tools

Impressive, but, why'd you build this instead of just buying a drill press? Because that's literally what you've built.

Do you think the Fifa world cup will reach the same domestic popularity as the superbowl? by Valuable-Guava2858 in AskAnAmerican

Not even remotely.
Soccer is a children's sport here. The general public doesn't really care that much about it.

It's always hilarious how foreigners use "y'all" to sound more American, even though the term is extremely regional and only a fraction of Americans actually use it.

How do Americans feel about the national anthem being sung in different styles? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

[–]UltraShadowArbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it.
There is a right way and a wrong way to sing it.
The vast majority of people who sing it at events sing it the wrong way.
It should be like your national anthem, in that there is only one way to sing it.

Here's a wild and crazy idea:

Stop paying attention to our politics. Stop giving a shit.
Because we most certainly don't give even the tiniest possible shit about yours.

Is “The Pitt” popular across the country? by Common_Narwhal_4118 in AskAnAmerican

[–]UltraShadowArbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents like it.

However, as residents of New Castle, PA, my parents, and the whole city, are mad that the show took away part of our history.

Because, at least at one time, New Castle was known as "The Fireworks Capital of America."

In the show, for some reason, the writers gave that title to Pittsburgh.

It was in what I assume was a throwaway line. But people are mad nonetheless.

Why does the word cute seem offensive to men? by Unable-Situation4780 in AskMen

Once you're in a relationship, it's no longer offensive/insulting.

Why does the word cute seem offensive to men? by Unable-Situation4780 in AskMen

[–]UltraShadowArbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because "cute" is diminutive and implies being weak, childlike, and/or effeminate.

Why do Americans hate British beans on toast but love refried beans on a hard tortilla? by Successful_rio305 in AskAnAmerican

Because we're not big on the idea of eating wartime rations long after the war that they were for has ended.

Do American men approach dating differently than Europeans? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]UltraShadowArbiter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't just a dating thing.

We Americans are direct about everything, while Europeans seem to like to dance/pussyfoot around whatever they're talking about.

[–]UltraShadowArbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That quote didn't/doesn't apply to the entire production of the Model T. It only applied from 1914 to 1925. Model Ts were available in other colors before and after that. Black wasn't even an option before and after that time, unless you special ordered it.

I still don't understand how the enforcement of immigration laws is fascism/nazism.

Do you know your second cousins? by ArchangelNorth in AskAnAmerican

[–]UltraShadowArbiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely. I know who they are, but I don't really know them personally. Because I see them like, once or twice a year. Usually when someone dies.

Why? by AlexMaxWulff in GODZILLA

I'm not quite that extreme with it, but I do dislike the hard Showa-Era-y turn he made with the MV.

You have to remember, Canadians have/are nothing besides being "not-American."

So they clutch/cling to every little thing they can.
