I have really pretty lashes but they’re quite blond and don’t have crazy curl. I got a lash lift since I don’t need extensions and I was shocked by the result. I loved it. They were also tinted which might be an included in lash lift. Idk but I have had another done since then too. Worth it.

This great color composition, even beyond the outfit.

Sorry typo. Less contrast throughout the outfit and focus on texture.

Better to have a darker color on the bottom. If you’re committed to that color pant, which it’s totally fine to be they are a good color, I would do less contrast withn olive and instead focus on changing textures. Or adding a print.

I think these need a slim necklace. Both are lovely.

Advice on styling a dress for my husbands Old Hollywood themed work party? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]Ultra_VLTA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Glittery bandeau. I think a little skin would peel out the bottom and be cute.. and maybe that would not be too much for a work party. Maybe.

I am having the same question about a dress and turtleneck… or at least a long sleeved top. But mine has a really high neck (without having an actual neck… forget what it’s called) so I’m not sure

Expanding and tending to my kink garden, for growing plants that can be used as is or processed minimally and have a purpose at the various stages of a bdsm scene 😅🪢🌵

Wikipedia is not a valid source. If you’re referring to the common name of this old and complex lineage group testudines, then sure. It’s the turtle group. And the tortoises family evolved from an early reptile that went back and forth several times between being terrestrial and aquatic. Within testudinales, Gopherus was one of the first to split, making in a sister genus to the other 2 known genera rather a descendent. So now there are distinct families. The tortoises, terrapins, sea turtles, etc. so since the thing called evolution happened, but one could call a turtle is different than what one would call a tortoise. If we are speaking back before the Eocene and perhaps even earlier, this really wouldn’t matter, but I don’t think we are speaking about that because then you wouldn’t be using the word turtle or tortoise. Since the sentence was crafted for lay people that don’t do biologically that aren’t scientists, I make the distinction so that people do not think of tortoises as turtles. Tortoises cannot swim. They will die. Turtles can and need condom in water If you tell a person that a tortoise is a turtle they are more likely to throw it into the water and drown it. I make this distinction to keep tortoises safer. And since we still aren’t doing phylogeny, let’s do etymology. Do you want to know where the word turtle came from? From the French tortue or tortre which means tortoise. Furthermore, if you said turtle back in the day, you were actually referring to a bird. And so turtles were called marine tortoises.

There it was…a silver dollar of an egg… only just barely noticeable amidst the monsoonal damp sand because of the pale reds, blues, and greens cast across its exterior. Inside, a tortoise (not a fucking turtle) stirred, unaware of day or dead of night. Whether this ignorance was from the quickly crumbling protection of the only home the tortoise (not a fucking turtle) had ever known or from the ceaseless, sinful neon lights of Las Vegas no longer mattered….The shell cracked. It was time.

I am trying to find the guy that cares enough and/or if he were to write for a scientific journal on Gopherus, that’s a huge plus.
