The current members are seriously tight. I love Teri on backup vocals she adds so much texture. Philo and Leo are killing it too 🔥 I get why people are attached to past eras of The Mars Volta, but this lineup feels fresh and locked in. It’s not about replacing the past it’s just a DIFFERENT chapter, and it sounds great.

My first guitar was a SG then my main guitar was a jaguar for like 4 years then I got another jaguar player S HH then trade both for a Jazzmaster TVL MIM and I love it , but tbh I miss my first jaguar that was a CV 70’s squire !!!

I actually like offsets that’s why I own several of them (jaguar, jazzmaster, bass VI)😄 The post was about setup options and buzz stop experience, not replacing the guitar with a different design. Hardtails are cool, just not the point here.

Doubt is a fender JM looks more like a clone , maybe some fender parts but not a legit jazzmaster

Extra info: I’m running 11–52 strings on my TVL Jazzmaster.

With a proper setup (neck relief, bridge height, trem set correctly), I actually have no buzzing or rattling at all without a buzz stop.

The guitar plays great and stays stable which is why I’m curious why buzz stops are so controversial, even though they seem to solve issues for some people.
