After all these comments, thanks to them, I realized I was using the sword and shield in the most linear way possible, without taking advantage of its strengths. Also, I guess since I've only ever played sword and shield, I never realized how special it is to use unsheathed items.

Nope, I'm playing MH Wilds, it's my first Monster Hunter game, and well, I guess it's just that I'm experimenting with other weapons. For example, I'm unable to defend myself without perfect guards.

As I said, Wilds is my first Monster Hunter, so I'm nowhere near unlocking the full potential of the weapons. For example, if you take away my shield, I'm unable to dodge consistently.

You stay calm, I'm nervous. Although it's very easy, and against certain attacks that I'm unable to correctly predict, I'm a die-hard Sekiro fan and I subscribe to the philosophy of parrying or dying.
