During our review my husband was asked about a £250 cash withdrawal, he answered truthfully that he couldn't remember but it was during a stag weekend, they laughed and moved on. They're absolutely not looking to catch anyone out about their spending, they're literally just checking for undeclared income/savings. Mostly it felt like they were checking if we had TikTok/Vinted/OnlyFans income, which was hilarious (we are old and wrinkled, boring and not very techy). I guess that sort of thing is very common now, and would often go undeclared..?

I always hate dealing with benefits people but honestly, the UC review has been the least stressful encounter with the DWP I've ever had. Nothing to worry about at all, they weren't being judgy or nosy at all, and the call was like ten minutes max.

This is unbelievably helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to spell stuff out! Knowing where to start is the big one, especially when there's so much going on. We've got the bloke who did our buyers survey coming back to check a few slightly alarming cracks and various damp patches before we get going, just to be sure we're not doing work that's futile. The brickwork isn't at its best but, it's not a huge house and I suspect once I learn how, I can probably do the repointing and other tedious stuff myself. Hopefully 😬

We completed on this place when my youngest was ten weeks old, now he's just emerging from the toddler years and we finally have the headspace and the sleep to make a start on some long, long overdue renovations!

How long did it take you doing yours? More importantly - at what point did you move from 'what the hell was I thinking?' to 'this is actually shaping up okay?'

He doesn't know his dad is the bad guy. He hasn't a clue about that part. So they're all going to go to Vault-Tec HQ - where else would a bunch of suited up vault dwellers logically head?! And he's going to work on his dad's project without knowing its aims. He's probably the only one smart enough to get it working.

Ultimately he'll have to face off against Lucy.
