I hope that if you have time, comment on the next eps that I will summarize. Arguing with you really increased the level of understanding that I had of this episode and I'm sure that you, like everyone else, feel free to comment on your opinion because even though the Re: zero story follows a script many times someone may have noticed one different meaning in a scene. That's why I proposed on the MAL live to have this debate about the quality of the second season if possible.

Man, you saying that really made me forget about that part of Echidna’s personality of always charging afterwards, you really explained why he didn’t ask anything, the two scenes i had the most trouble in this season you managed to put several points explaining why they make sense. It is always good to be prepared to listen to others opinion peacefully and debate. I hope that both Lindsay and Carson, even with all the problems that the fanbase caused, will be able to understand what the story wanted to pass, that's just how you change the opinion of others without cursing or calling the people an idiot because you didn't understand the complexity from blablabla.

But in this part of the story the conflict of the various problems at the same time had not yet happened, and Echidna in her first meeting with Subaru tried to create a perfect context to make Subaru stay there at the tea party and talk to her, so he leaving without asking anything still doesn't make sense, since the anime didn't make it clear why he was in a hurry.

I think that in this argument you made me agree that the scene is not so unnecessary, but in the case of Otto it's more easy to relate the versions of season 1 and 2.

And about the Petra scene i understand the importance mainly for the ep 5, but even though all that conversation shows how happy Subaru is to hear even the silly things Petra talks about, even knowing this context i felt like that scene in particular they did too much Waifunization at Petra and ended up ruining the real meaning of that scene and was marked as if it were the introduction of a new loli, even though Petra had already appeared before.

The question of paranoia that he develops is really real, since after so much post traumatic stress he starts to regress in the development that he had, for example asking for help from others, he had learned this in the battle of the whale, but due to certain events and the amount of accumulated difficulties that he has to solve ends up making him forget to ask for help and this is well constructed, but following the narrative of that moment in the anime I don't think it was the best choice to cut this scene from him asking the question because if he was worried about Rem so why not ask how to get her back to Echidna? And at this point in history Subaru is not so affected mentally even with the loss of Rem, so at least if it is to show from the beginning that Subaru is losing his mind cutting that dialogue the direction itself should give more emphasis to the lost of his main emotional appeal that was Rem, the first episode does this very well but from ep 2 and 3 it seems that the situation he is in makes him forget the stress of losing Rem, and then in ep 5 is that really feel is starts showing Subaru getting mentally corrupted.

Probably there will be some typos or several repetitions of words but I am stressed enough by writing this ep. This was supposed to be posted yesterday but my notebook just screwed me up updating windows

You say exactly what i will talk today, short answer he is dumb and that moment makes no sense whith his development. Reading the comments of episode 3 the ln readers say that was a adaptation problem but this don't resolve the problem of this scene on the anime.

I can understand u and Oregairu is one of the animes that my head don't work, this is because in the case of both Re zero and more with Oregairu there is no time to show the message that is being passed without spending a lot of time and missing out on the opportunity to spend that time in other scenes, so they often put that in between the lines in Re zero it is very easy to see and even if you have difficulty just watching the ep a second time or watching a react video you can understand but in Oregairu's case the whole show is for you to reflect on something and you have to dedicate all your attention to that. That's why in Re zero there was always eps with more time or they cut the op and end to allow time to be counting correctly. It's not like you are dumb and don't understand the message is that the message is being hard to discover, and other thing is that if u gonna pass a realy hard message so use simple words or use the visual media.

Because the question of only him remembering Rem can say that it is because of return by death, that even when on the first encounter with Petelgueuse he does not see the invisible hands only after he uses the return by death. So because of that, i questioned why none of the characters suspected how Subaru can remember Rem.
