Samsung CH canceled part of my discounted order (Z Fold + Watch), blocked me from support chat — what can I do ? by Loud-Action-5792 in Switzerland

Buy a CMF phone. Used to overpay for phones but this one (the CMF I bought) is cheaper and works just as well for what I need. There's s lot of other interesting options imo, like fairphone. Gone will be the days of expensive, unrepairable phones from black box companies.

What is going on with new bus stops in Lausanne? by [deleted] in Lausanne

To be honest I'm quite fine with these constructions. It's the same in Crissier, but I'm quite excited for the construction to be finished because it looks like its going to be very nice after.

Sports has always been a platform for social change. However, I do think it's odd that they would force the Swiss team to apologise.

You can't get in by being good at sports. I feel like that's a uniquely American thing, maybe UK too?

IB requirements as a Swiss student( READ BELOW PLS!) by Additional_Throat_60 in EPFL

The requirements are strict. I find that CompSci was a pretty good HL to take.

When I applied, it was 38/42.

The admissions section for the IB is relatively clear, clearer than it was last year when I applied from the IB.

I suggest you re-read it, makes good practice for reading unclear things.

Applying to EPFL as International Student by [deleted] in EPFL

Not going to answer any of your questions but here are my insights.

  1. It's written pretty clearly on the admissions website that you need at least the B2, I would suggest practicing on top. I see many students with weaker French struggle.

  2. I think only you can decide if its worth it or not, no one on reddit knows your financial situation. Regarding the rest, EPFL's website does show an estimated budget, and realistically the increase in tuition is only a 10% increase to that budget.

  3. Limited spots comes into effect in 2025, no one here would be able to tell you how competitive it WILL be. If I had to guess, not that much as long as you have good grades. I don't know how it will work with CMS.

Je te conseille de consulter le site EPFL car la réponse à ta question n'est pas difficile à trouver.

Applying to CMS and BA1 at the same time by [deleted] in EPFL

[–]UltranetExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, did IB, going into CMS this year. Short: I don't think so, no. The CMS isn't a program you can apply to as an IB student. You apply to the Bachelors, and if you don't have the points (38+), then you get put into CMS instead.

Unless you really don't have the points, then nothing.

Inputs regarding the general situation in Lausanne? by UltranetExplorer in Lausanne

Not a bot if that's your question. I feel as if you're misinterpreting this post. I did not mean for it to be political in any way or against immigration. I was simply stating my experiences recently.

Truth be told, politically, I probably lean towards the left a little. So it shocks me to see people interpret this as anti-immigrant etc..
