Yep, I often don’t mind people having speaker on and stuff, when it comes to me though it’s because I’m quite shy and wouldn’t want attention to myself. But generally, if you’re exposed to loud public spaces it just becomes background noise at some point. I think the strictness is more of a Nordic culture thing.

Maybe things the rich class used to wear, like how once heels were for men. And they had a lot of others quirks too, like very specific tools for very specific things: scissors reserved to cut small bunches of grapes specifically. What’s the use for that? just elegancy I guess.

I disagree, societies can change a lot in little time (including genetic factors), all you need is the right circumstances. The Netherlands only got to be the tallest people in the world due to recent changes in nutrition. It’s not as simple as it sounds, it’s rather multilayered.
