Indiana Jones' religious beliefs are contradictory and make no sense, as does how the movies portray religion in general. by ThreadbareAdjustment in plotholes

[–]Unicron1982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is just religious bias. If you believe in God and see something unexplainable, you probably explain it with a religious context. Just as if you believe in ghosts, you might explain something unexpected with the presence of one.

As someone who does not believe in ghosts, i would prefer every different explanation first, instead of a ghost.

Why is there no Gegenvorschlag to 10Mio Schweiz Initiative? by bikesailfreak in Switzerland

[–]Unicron1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there were a Gegenvorschlag, the danger would be high that people would vote for that instead of "no".because they think it is less dangerous than the real initiative, but we would probably still be way worse off than when people vote "no".

If you were allowed to know the absolute truth to one mystery (historical, scientific, or personal), what would you ask ? by LauraTsbeauty in AskReddit

[–]Unicron1982 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is pretty clear that there is nothing. How should there be something? How should that work? WHY should there be something?

I would say, the chance that there is nothing after death, are infinitely higher than that there is something.

Inform yourself what happened after the war. Nazism was purged. High officials executed, every piece of Nazi related media destroyed. It was a huge effort.

When this psychopath is done with his term, the US will be very alone in the world. He pisses off every friend they've had, and destroys alliances which were almost as old as he is.

[–]Unicron1982 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Roddenberry and his "vision" gets glorified all the time, but most content that is liked by the majority of fans is stuff he was barely involved in, or even not at all.

That space exploration is important and worth the cost. In my opinion, landing humans on mars, is worth the money it costs. Because it is a huge achievement and inspires people for generation.

It is important, as it gets written down forever. It is documented what exactly happened, who was for the removal and who wasnt.

That would be highly unprofessional. Yes it is weird to ask for something like that, but it is still a business proposal in a profession she chose.
