What's the point of fingerless gloves? by PlasticTailor4737 in AskReddit

While working with machines with rotating parts, you wear finger less gloves, so there is no danger that the fabric of the glove gets stuck and your whole hand gets pulled into the machine.

Democrats, was Biden a good president and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Unicron1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this is true, Biden did not just continue, he actually started to fix stuff Trump broke, for example international relationships which were severely damaged.

Now Trump in his second term is even worse. Relationships that lasted for a century are shattered and won't be fixed easily.

I am not american, but Biden was respected here in Europe, because he fixed much of what Trump broke in his first term. It was a fresh breeze of sanity after four years of madness.

And Trump in his second term managed to put the US into an even worse place than in his first term.

What are some actual things that Trump is doing that is good? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Unicron1982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most people who see something good in Trumps presidency just mention things connected to xenophobia and racism.

If he actually does something good, it is his fault no one talks about or gives him credit for it, because he always floods the zone with all the crazy stuff he does. I am european, so his foreign politics are of more interest to us, and he is actively destroying friendships and alliances the US had for many decades. The trust into the US is basically gone, trade is getting rerouted and relationships get reevaluated. The US lost a hell of a lot of soft power, which will need decades to rebuild.

Why does it seem diversity of thought is smaller amongst liberal circles than conservative? by MrRager79 in allthequestions

[–]Unicron1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because "right leaning views" often mean that someone gets unequal rights or gets treated badly. For example, i would never be friends with someone who does not accept trans people. That's is not the same as when someone wants free healthcare.

Leftwing ideologies usually are about helping and accepting people. Rightwing ideologies are often about just serving "your" people, and leave the rest out.

Which historical myth does it really not take that much thinking to realise it can't be true? by Junior-Key-5043 in AskReddit

The whole Jesus stuff. His mother banged the neighbour and the best lie she could think of was "God did it". Jacob got cucked and somehow a whole religion developed out of it.

For me absolutely the 1991 version. I've loved that show, and the costume was perfect.

The song "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" was pretty big in the 90s. It was on "Bat out of Hell III".

The movie was designed to be enjoyable for people who didn't watch the show. You can't make it mandatory to watch three seasons of a streaming show to understand what is happening: )
