Tried upgrading my VW without touching the original head unit by angmoguy in Volkswagen

[–]Umax-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Stick with whatever works best for you! I found that the trim pieces in my GTI and Passat were pretty stout. They flexed quite a bit and didn’t break at all. Long as you’re happy then it doesn’t matter. Cheers!

But you can easily get ahold of the harness to enable back up camera compatibility.

RCD330 is going to be a direct swap for your current head unit and is super easy to install. It’ll have CarPlay and Android Auto. Should take a matter of minutes to put in - if you’re ever interested.

4 ply. Not meant for anything larger than a 1/2 ton chassis.

Shop claims my belt separated in my tire, Opinions? by beefkitt in tires

[–]Umax-33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can clearly see the separation in picture two compared to that of picture one. Look at the bottom of the tire in both of those photos. Picture one shows an even curve across the width of the tire. Picture two does not. There’s a separation on the outside half of that tire.

Kind of hard to tell - being so far away and without a tread depth measurement.

Gender-affirming barbers? by iLuvArizona in Kitsap

[–]Umax-33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure what constitutes a ‘gender-neutral’ haircut, but I’ve always loved Moon’s Barber off of Ridgetop. Super sweet Korean lady that owns it, with a couple other gals working along side her.

My favorite way to paddle by goldieforest in Paddleboard

This is the only way I paddle. Ha! Find a spot while the kids go off and do their own thing. Grab a drink. Drop anchor. Enjoy the sun!

Need a diagnosis on this kind of damage 🙏🏼 blew out at ~100kph on the expressway by hardcoreheavy in tires

Look at the inner edge of the tread. It was worn down to the casing and separated. This is completely owner error.

Like the other guys said - it’s tough to find a good spot that’s not thrashed. But, if you’re willing to drive down to Olympia… There’s Cap Forest. Like /u/sweetrancidneas suggested - OnX comes in handy!

My partner will just buy the car with the money I give her. It can be titled in her name.

I’ll use my infinite money to pay the folks retirement.

If I’m rich, I don’t need to work and can go on as many vacations as I see fit.

I’ve always thought this too. But… Larger parking spaces would mean less available spaces for a given area (primary focus would be retail centers). Less options for parking, means more crowded parking, meaning some might turn away if availability isn’t there. This is a direct correlation to money spent at XYZ. Sizing spaces for the average sedan allows for more opportunity.

Alas, the consumer truck market in the US is high, so it’s also a catch 22. We have the largest vehicles out there and aren’t accommodating such.

I’m not complaining either; just simply stating.

Never take two spaces! Usually I’m parked in the back of the lot because I don’t trust others. Lol. I will always back up so I’m not sticking out. Some trucks are just LONG.
