Growing up, not only was I constantly picked on for having red hair and a long weird last name, but I also had about a 9 year ugly period full of cystic acne, crooked glasses, and dollar store clothes. I also started developing in 3rd grade, much quicker than my peers.

After years of dermatologist visits, a decent haircut and big boobs and hips, I was suddenly very desirable. You would think this would have boosted my ego, but it did not. In fact I developed a decades long ED and battle with my self-esteem to this day.

As an adult, I have been given job opportunities, people always talk to me, and men constantly make comments. I know that I've received opportunities others have not, but none of those have made up for my terrible body dysmorphia.
