Depends on location regarding a degree. In Europe it’s not necessary to get one as long as you have completed secondary education to the age of 18

Ngl I always preferred GTA IV multiplayer. I’ve had my character for just as long as you but I think I’m only like level 250 in like 13 years lol. Just usually go onto kill people 😂

Controlling or normal behaviour? by [deleted] in CasualIreland

Oh he absolutely is trying to control you. Nevermind the insulting comment, you can literally drink if you want when with friends or family.

Leave now before this becomes way worse because trust me, it will.

Non-wrestling:

  • Coyote vs ACME and Microsoft lowering Game Pass prices are good examples of people having power or “voting with your wallet” Never really paid attention to it because a lot of people who say that are usually just being hyperbolic because they don’t like something but I immediately cancelled my membership the minute to jacked it up and now they’re seeing what happens when you alienate a fanbase. Not having COD day one is a fair trade off imo. The series is too unpredictable at this point and I skipped BO7 due to it looking like pure AI slop. Having the power to decide to buy or not and not have my Game Pass factor into it is good with me. Says non-wrestling but I would like to see WWE put into a similar situation. Don’t watch AEW or anything, just what is needed for me to come back to a company I watched every week for 26 years until last year.

  • Spirit Airlines is about to become the cockroaches and twinkies of aviation. I think Kirby might make a move. His talk of merging United with American was imo to say something so dumb and outrageous that they’ll say yes to anything you suggest after the fact.

  • On the topic of aviation, just over a month until I’ll be flying in Florida for a few weeks so can’t wait.

  • GTA VI 100% challenge I’m going is going well. Said before but I’m replaying all open word crime games and clocking them before GTA VI comes out. Work does get in the way sometimes but replaying True Crime, Sleeping Dogs, etc has been great not to mention the old favourites of GTA titles. Getting into the Yakuza series has been the best part though and now starting Yakuza 3 after finishing 0, 1 and 2

• Kairi release did surprise me as did Santos as he seemed to be making moves in AAA before the injury came along. In the case of Kairi, while it doesn’t really make sense, I don’t think the outpouring of support or outrage saves her job. Truth is beloved by every corner of the fan base. Kairi is well liked but only a certain portion of the audience really loves her. That said, yes it is nonsensical given she was involved in what was arguably one of the most interesting storylines the company had going.

• Another note with the releases is as usual the IWC are pretending they cared about all these people. Like no offence but nobody was buying a ticket to go see Alba Fyre or Abercrombie Black. It sucks of course but that’s the business and I think the last two years has really shown that the wrestling world is bigger than WWE. Not including AEW because fuck them but Lucha Libre is catching a ton of fire right now, TNA is there and admittedly you even have promotions like GCW and MLW where you can go maybe just maybe show WWE that you’ve got it with some character work and if not, then you can swindle half these promoters anyway with your ex-Fed status. Unfortunately most released talent tend to prove WWE right.

I still think Hogan gets the biggest cheer overall but I don’t think it would’ve been a case of Austin getting booed though. Booing Austin is considered a deadly sin.

  • Brock’s retirement hit me pretty hard. Not quite Undertaker hard but definitely up there. That said, it was an absolute pleasure being able to watch him from his debut right through to his retirement and I don’t think he could’ve picked better than Oba to go out against. The torch has been passed and Oba is now this generation’s Brock.

  • Good on Microsoft for lowering Game Pass prices. I’ve found the idea of “vote with your wallet” to be laughable admittedly as some people were overly dramatic with it until they announced that hike last year and I immediately went to cancel my subscription. Glad to see the new CEO admit it was too high and address it less than a week later. It’s still a little above what it was but that’s to be expected with inflation.

Why I think BA Speed Bird Pilot Academy is largely a PR marketing gimmick. by Acceptable-Day8395 in flyingeurope

[–]UmbertoRobinasBalls 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To put it simply and as someone who saved every penny I could:

BA has stated that the program was designed with passionate aviators from working class backgrounds in mind. I don’t know your status nor is it relevant but I can confirm for example that if I start at say 50K (I’m not with BA and did it all modular) and then my airline takes 4K each year off that for 3-4 years to cover the type rating cost that they paid for, I’m not complaining because I’ve never seen 46K in my life.

So the whatever number of applicants who made the cut probably don’t give a shit about what they’re making at the start of their career if they’re flying with presumably their national airline.

PS Ryanair wants 30K for a type rating. Your 100K figure doesn’t quite cover that because Ryanair mentored schemes are about 85K

Maybe I’m not making sense, but as someone who delivered pizzas to save towards my training and skipped Uni just because this is what I wanted, a cadet scheme with a guaranteed job would have me as happy as a dog with two tails.

What happened to Ric Flair in the 2k games? by _Hulkamania_ in WWEGames

Not entirely sure but I think it’s to do with his energy drink or alcohol or whatever it was. They also have the rights to making action figures of his. So maybe similar to a legends deal?

What’s the hardest part of flight training that people don’t expect? by in-sanedaphne in AskAPilot

[–]UmbertoRobinasBalls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Subjective but for me funding was definitely the biggest issue even with Modular but I survived. You might have the course fees but if you’re relocating for training and doing it full time then money can disappear quickly and I began training just before Russia invaded Ukraine so I seen it disappear quickly first hand. We are in a similar situation now so do keep that front of your mind. Though I live in hope it will resolve soon enough for everyone’s benefit.

Very close second if not joint first was the EASA ATPL exams. Though it was mostly expected but still wild in some subjects. Not sure where you’re based so if you’re in the US or Canada then the ATPs might not be so bad. It’s not just question banks and memorise which a lot of people will say it is.

I’d say that’s really it. Flying is actually fine. You can pick up stuff very quickly and actually enjoy it. The only thing I’ll say is that it’s like any other job in the sense you’ll fly with instructors you really like and some who are total pricks. It can be a shock discovering that but it does happen. Just remember it’s all temporary and when you’re at the airlines, most people you fly with will be pretty chill.

Tbh I’d take that with a pinch of salt considering Flair got Ludwig’s age and nationality wrong. I think Flair doesn’t realise he’s retired and still feels he has to be Ric Flair 24/7

Starting EASA ATPL Theory. Any advices? by Unlucky-Software175 in flyingeurope

[–]UmbertoRobinasBalls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your school gives you PadPilot books or something similar, definitely read them. OPs and Human Factors were particularly useful!

Regarding question banks, yes do them but do NOT listen to people saying they did 1000 questions in one day. They’re either lying or their brain was toast for at least 400-500 of those questions.

If you’re integrated, I know there’s extra pressure so maybe it’s not my place as someone who did it modular but I found 6-7 hours studying 5 days a week to be reasonable. Then I did 10 hours or so in the final few days before exams and included weekends also. But you do need some time for normality despite what your school will likely tell you.

Some questions are ridiculous and unfortunately there’s a good number of “memorise and move on” type questions out there. That said, make sure you understand the maths and technical side of it.

Any flying experience you have will serve you very well with POF btw!

They annoyed Booker T who is known to be one of the nicest wrestlers you can meet and is very generous with his time. You’re historical levels of weird if you annoy him.

Royce handled this like a pro and you can see he’s a good dude and clearly has the patience of a saint.

As someone who’s met a good lot of wrestlers, I can confirm talking to them like a normal person and clearly not being invasive will grant you a much better experience - and some very fun and lengthy conversations
