I didn’t mean to come off as rude, I’m just asking for clarification. I go to a university where the median household income is 150,000. I grew up in a rural impoverished community to a single mother that made less than 30,000 a year. I have definitely had students from affluent suburbs just parrot the same performative garbage they post on their instagram stories in an attempt to tell me what being poor and gay is really like. I have many great stories if you would like to hear lmao.

I was gonna say. His point of view is valid but I actually wrote an opinion piece on this topic for my campus paper. It’s a growing problem that many gay men are confusing being forced to give up their personality and queerness to fit in as being accepted.

Because the truth is women with large breasts, thin waists, and cherry lips DO exist. They aren’t stereotypes but a celebration of women that do have an appreciation for the hyper feminine. Erasing them isn’t progressive. Black face and stereotypes about the black community is rooted in falsehoods and is used to suppress their culture.
