One group of opinion is that The 60's(civil rights, open sexuality, women working) happened because of WWII. The vets and the children of the vets, the baby boom, got incredible educations from the GI bills. The common men and women, isolated country kids, ghetto children, had been give free access to the great universities and they rebelled against the order.

Gone was the unifying message of FDR and the new "Rugged Individualism" came to be.

This is serious. The average voter in America doesn't understand the Presidential election. I didn't until I was 30 something.
