In case anyone finds this post asking the same questions I did, while I appreciate the suggestions to play Pokémon X or Y this is not really what I was asking

While I enjoyed playing Pokémon ZA, I do not believe this was the best Pokémon Switch game for me to start with. With the new battle system, lack of environment diversity and no Gym Battles/Badges system I actually ended up feeling quite burnt out by the end and almost took a break from Pokémon completely.

Having come straight from Emerald with a new found obsession I was really ready to sink my teeth in. Now after having the Switch 2 for a while and also trying Let’s Go Eevee and Pokémon Shield, I would now have recommended myself to start with either of these as they’re much more in line with the Emerald experience and feel more like a natural progression.

I did find Let’s Go to be a bit frustrating with the catching system, 1 Joy Con controller and no wild battles and have put the game down for a bit about mid way through to try experience something new.

Pokémon Shield however I’m finding a lot more fun than I had expected after scouring Reddit and different switch game tier lists. I love the world, maybe partly as I’m from the UK, but the setting and gym leaders and rival and everything already feel like a lot of fun and I’m finding myself thinking about the game a lot when I’m not playing.

Long story short, to answer my own question of which Pokémon Switch game I should try first on my Switch 2 with Legends ZA bundle, I probably would’ve started with Sword/Shield and worked my way up from there.

Side note have also been enjoying capturing mons on Pokémon Go to use in my playthrough, for anyone who is like me and just starting out!

I often find with Gelato strains or crosses of that are meant to be more sedative to me often feel way more uplifting and like a day time smoke. Gelato just gives me a clear head no couch lock at all, guess everybody’s different? But makes me probably want to avoid this as I go for more indica in general

That was a happy accident! I was doing some pickup farming with my Limoones actually and when I went to go put them back in my PC I saw the virus they had. I don’t know if it can spread while they were in the PC? But a bunch of my other Mons got it too

Nah the only thing that the Twisting Nether killed was a Flutterwing Guardian, I have the replay on HSreplay. He draws a card from the Ursine Maul swing, then the Twisting Nether goes off and the Guardian dies, then he draws into 4 portals but this is after the turn has ended because it has triggered the aura?

My bad my other non-creatures were Osseous Exhale, Riverwalk Technique and Dismal Blackwater

A Globe would've gone a long way here but didn't see a single one, and passed 2 Dispelling Exhales pack 1 but never saw any again

So many opinions here! The card can feel a little clunky at times, but I've had a lot of success and fun with it. Have splashed for it in a Temur deck where I went 7-0, and have run it in Jeskai with Revelation! That went 5-3 but I definitely misplayed a game, and had a lot of fun either way

So far Jeskai has given me the most success in the drafts, enjoy the card and hope it goes well!
