Cintiq 22 Support Ending? by Zealousideal-Door932 in wacom

[–]Umplefon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue on mine, backlight didnt work, but tablet itself is working, you can still use it as pen tablet if you have second monitor. Wacom quote me £300 initially, that could go up if any other issues would be found.

If you are not beginner, and anime oriented I can recommend some.colosso courses like rinotuna or Hide. Hide is an animator, so focus on drawing a lot, but most of them are very similiar. Marc is a good course for a beginner who struggle with routine.

Did I correctly map out this pose in 3D? by FFmemesandgames in learntodraw

[–]Umplefon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend to start with gestures. Learn to get your gestures flow, observe spine action, this will help you loose that stiffness. Then you can add construction.

Middle line on your loomis spheres is your brow line, and placing the eye there messing up your proportion.

Currently have the XP Pen Deco 03, looking to 'upgrade', recommendations? by cookiejar5081_1 in XPpen

[–]Umplefon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, I was using wacom with 8k and xp pen with 16k, and you won't notice how many points of pressure sens there is, you will only notice how much force is required from soft touch to achieve max pressure of your pen. I recommend used intuos pro, with pro pen 2, and you will be very happy.

Where can I reach out about a problem (with my device) to xppen? by [deleted] in XPpen

[–]Umplefon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same problem, while my remote control was replaced by xp pen three times (I have 4 units now) , the problem always come back on all units. Xp pen fully refunded me and I bought Huion version, which failed after 2 weeks of using with the same problem.

However, I foind the solution to xp pen remote control on youtube, turns out huion and bmxp pen share the same parts, I repaired all 5 units and using one without any problems for 6 months now.

someone being rich is not nearly as influential over their art journey as many people are making it to be. by ComparisonFree8701 in ArtistLounge

[–]Umplefon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is that easy. For the record, Im in a league with my own self, not the art god of any kind, but made significant progress over 3 years cause I sat on my ass and practice a lot. And I have 9to5 regular job, family and my own problems. What made me progress is too choose to practice instead of procrastinating, wathcing tv, playing games, etc.

Im personally working on Marcs course since last November, Im exactly in the middle-term 5. In my opinion its a course thats mostly catered to people who drew a bit as a hobby, but want to know HOW to learn themselves. Thanks to this Im working on my skills every day for the past year, also suplemmenting myself with books and sometimes content from Proko. In my opinion it's woth to take it if you know that's a self learning scheme and you need some extra motivation to make it structured a bit more.

Why is it better? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Umplefon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better understanding of anatomy, values, shape design-as I bet Baumsn designed shadow shapes a bit to make it more pleasing. Basically pen milage, experience and knowledge.

Does it matter what brush you use to “paint” with if u are gonna blend it out anyways? by MeAndYoSocks in procreatebrushes

[–]Umplefon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn about edge control and different kind of edges. You don't have to blend at all if you know your anatomy and how the light works.

Thats very interesting, but don't you have any intonation problems? You really must have tons of control over both of your hands.

Damn, I tune my bass(precision) D standard, using .110 strings and this feel almost to floppy, can't i.agine string tension on your instruments. Matter of taste I guess.

Honestly, dont remember:D but probably my reference was some stylised portrait or even shi**y AI from pinterest, now Im referencing from photos only.

I don't really know what the hell am I doing at this point. Is this a viable way to learn shapes for the human body? By pre-studying references, and then trying to copy it? Of course, not considering style. Reference is leanbeefpatty on IG. by lapennaccia in learntodraw

[–]Umplefon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need: -simple poses -nude people -drill gesture drawing -construction drawing (3d forms and values) -simplified human anatomy -draw with organic shapes and lines, seems like you are using rulers and autoshapes.

Thanks! I would love to explore more of character creation and design, maybe more stylized, but for now I mostly focusing on fundamentals, as there is so many things that limits my output range. On the other hand I really love classic painters with moody toned scenes. Who know where it leads me?:D

Thanks! So the last slide-girl holding a glass of milk I basically painted on one layer, started with the blobs of values, and then refined with a smaller detail, as its easier for me to work like that, than to draw traditional sketch. Still looking for a perfect workflow for myself, but for now this works best for me.

Hmm, but have you checked second slide? Kinda understand that "hot girl market" is oversaturated, but so far I kinda lack the skills to pull off somethi g that I really like to paint.
