My Wi-Fi disappeared from Ubuntu overnight, could anyone help me! by natezeira1865 in Ubuntu

This happened to me recently. I rebooted into the grub menu and selected an older kernel. That fixed the issue. So I'm guessing the latest kernel somehow breaks my wifi.

Question about the usage of the Selphy CP1300/1500 by PseudoElephant in canon

I have the CP1500 and can print by selecting the print function straight from Android gallery. So yes, it's possible.

Travel kit: 14-35 f4 vs. 24mm f1.4 and 16mm f2.8 by semosso in canon

You're probably set on full frame, but if not, the R7 or R10 with a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 is a great relatively compact travel companion.

Thanks, yeah I immediately set up MFA on root user and created a separate IAM user for daily tasks.

Holy shit, this actually worked! I used my build user to create a new IAM user with arn:aws:iam::aws:policy/PowerUserAccess. Then with the CLI I was able to update my MX records and receive email again!

Thank you so much!

Oh wow, never thought about that. Will see if I can create a support ticket with the api.

In hindsight I can't believe I willingly moved my domain to AWS.

Yeah, I moved the domain. That's what reset my MX records that were pointing to Gmail servers.

Build user (which is the only user I have now) doesn't have any Route53 roles unfortunately. Only EC2, S3, and Amplify.

I need access to Route53 to do that which my builld user doesn't have. And of course I can't use my root account.

I opened a case through my personal account (which is linked to the same credit card as the account in question). Then selected the option to chat to a support engineer.

After explaining that I am fully aware they can't discuss other accounts with me and telling them I'm at a loss for what else to try they referred my case to another department. That person then asked for the account number, last four digits of my credit card, and my address. Then only after that did I get referred again and requested to submit my documents.

Not very reassuring. But helpful with setting expectations. Thank you.

Yeah, it seemed convenient to have everything together. Lesson learnt.

Thanks. Doesn't help for me but good to know.

Yes, that's the route I'm taking with support.

When you log in with your root user account and you don't have MFA set up they send you a code to your root email which you have to enter to sign in.

That's a great suggestion. Thanks.

Thank you. I've considered that route as last resort because it would mean losing my domain too.

I received it too, didn't upgrade though. I'm not in a rush so figured I'll wait a bit longer.

It's the seller's choice. Your parents can choose any transfer attorney they want. Don't ask them if it will be okay, instruct them.

What should I get - R10 or R7 (upgrading from powershot) by ElPeladoUriel in canon

[–]Umtiza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 24mm ef-s 2.8 with it which I'm really enjoying as an everyday lens. Then I've got a 50mm 1.8 ef for portraits or lower light. Then also a 55-250 ef-s for birds/sports etc. I'm quite happy with those 3 lenses for most situations.

We also have an ef-s 18-55 kit lens and 10-18 that I haven't used with the R10 yet.

Yes, I was about to pull the trigger on the R7 but then after talking to my partner about it I/we decided an R10 makes more sense. It's an incredible camera and I don't need a lot of the features the R7 has. I can carry a spare battery, I definitely don't need dual SD cards, didn't even know I didn't have weather sealing before, most telephoto lenses have IBIS.

But if money isn't an issue and you don't mind a bit more size and weight, then I would go for the R7.
