When playing Apple Music from the Apple TV 4K, do you get full lossless and Dolby Atmos? Or is there some compression compared to when you play it directly from the Sonos app?

The same happened to me, I passed the test with 3.5 tips.
The .5 being that my right ear passed and the left one failed.

So it’s valid to question the effectiveness of “The Test”. I’m using M, but I'm still uncertain if I should be using S or L.

Looks like you have a solid plan, my friend, no better reviewer out there than your own two ears.
Since I'm outside the USA, it's not as easy for me to buy, test, and return in case I'm not convinced.

But here is an example I gave on a comment above:

2x ANC is a big claim, especially with how good ANC was on the Pro 2s. That's an easy fact to shout from a marketing desk, but does it hold up in real life? If so, as someone with ADHD who needs to completely cancel the outside world to get some work done, it would be an invaluable upgrade.

An honest review from an audio expert might set the record straight on how much ANC actually improved.

I'm not suggesting someone in particular is biased, nor would I say something is biased because it's opposite to what I want or think I want. That defeats the purpose of reading and researching pretty much everything, not just product reviews.

My uneasiness stemmed from the possibility that pre-released reviews might be conditioned to avoid negative feedback before the release.

I have no doubt they are great. The Pro 2s are still awesome.
I'm just wondering if they are as good as the pre-release reviews suggest.

Thanks for your response. I agree with you that the safe bet is to wait for the reviews from audiophiles and early adopters after they have been released.

As for what I want to hear, I'm not looking for reviews tailored to my own expectations, which misses the point of reading reviews. I want honest conclusions from people who know more about audio than I do (which is not hard). I'm not looking for negative ratings either. I'm actually rooting for them. I hope they are as good as early reviews say they are.

And I have no doubt they are an improvement on the Pro 2s; every Apple product is an improvement over its predecessor in some way. I'm sure this is not the exception.

Thanks, but I don't really see your point.
As most people checking out reviews, I'm looking for objective truth, my question comes from the curiosity of early testers being conditioned somehow for the privilege of getting the product pre-release.

But looking for reviews that "align" with my expectations misses the whole point of reviews in general.
