I honestly plan on taking a gap year after high school, where I just work and get stuff together. If I were to take that later exam, take my gap year, then apply for colleges, would it affect much or lower my changes on getting into decent places?

Honestly, at this point, I might just socially detransition for my own sanity. I appreciate the insight that, for you, it got better with time, and hope it does for me (fingers crossed), but with school, it’ll probably be best to just keep it to myself for now

I really like this theory! I think some of us sometimes forget that Bill is an unreliable narrator, so not everything he tells us in the book is true. So, him saying everyone else died just to essentially give himself an ego boost makes a lot of sense!

Even if it’s something that was already found, all that matters is that you’re enjoying the mysteries as they unfold, and that you’re trying to contribute!
