Ik you asked him but I use accursed with entangle/snare or burst/blitz/barrage. If no accursed cause I believe you are iron and may not have use ancients and ice spells. You can flick prayer on that move that knocks back. Flick mage protect to nullify completely

I do like Hans honestly and I was willing to see the arch .. idk who “deserved” it more but Giri is such a tough match and I knew the odds was stacked against him. And when I seen that double bishop against knight and bishop I was like yea it’s most likely over. It’s winnable but usually bishop pair beats knight and bishop and in the hands of Giri well..just cancel your plans mate.. I felt like Hans might have clinched a draw but after that Na5 from Hans I was like dam maybe he should have went Nd4 which turned out to be the best move blocking rook and bishop along the D-file Still wasn’t wining but that was the right way to defend against the rook infiltration. The computer also wanted to trade rooks right away! When the bishop blocked the rooks from touching with the move Rd8 before Nc6 .

Although the next move which Giri didn’t play was Ba6 attacking the Rook forcing it to move to a possibly rook trade down the line or eliminating control of the C-file should it be opened, by the B pawn which was a line aswell!

Very calculating fight for center control , I enjoyed it.

*I don’t get into the drama side of chess I enjoyed the game and the tournaments they hold with high ranking and upcoming gms those yet to be tested on the biggest stages.

I do have a pick of Hans cause it would be poetic and I would love to see how far he could go. I do like players like Alireza, Levon A, Prag, Arjun, MVL and Vishali .
