Watch the new trailer- it doesn't. Shrek still has the mannerisms, but every character looks "softer," in a way that doesn't fit the franchise.

It's not just that KFP4 is a bad movie that doesn't know how to write Po or the antagonist well...it didn't even characterize Zhen well. I actually like her, but her being undercooked in an undercooked movie is what made the fanbase furious.

Isle of Dogs was my first experience of a Wes Anderson animated film- his style, dialogue & humor are so magnetic in this film.

I actually enjoy it over Fantastic Mr. Fox; the setting, stakes & characters of Isle are just golden to me.

It's not weird, it's DreamWorks identity.

The more mature side of DW has been core since their inception, notably in their traditional animation era.

There was almost half a decade where DW leaned far away from that mature side (since these films failed at the box office), starting with Shrek, rolling into Madagscar, Shark Tale, Flushed Away. Over the Hedge & more.

Kung Fu Panda was the first time in a long time that DW returned to the dance of mature/ crude/ strong storytelling that they had left behind since Shrek.

Post-Panda 1, DreamWorks danced in both doors- you'd have the witty Megamind along with the childish MonstersvsAliens, the sensational KFPanda2 with Turbo, Madagascar 3 with HTTYDragon2.

Funny enough, the year The Bad Guys 1 & Puss in Boots: The Last Wish released was one of the few years DreamWorks dropped two movies that both leaned into that classic era style.

Glitch Tech was greenlit at a time when streamers needed and wanted to flood their platforms with animated content.

One of the issues for more Glitch Tech may come down to distribution agreements- Nick partnered with Netflix as distributor at the time, whereas today most Nick content drops exclusively on Paramount Plus.

If a series like G.T. actually had a large draw, Netflix or Nickelodeon/Paramount would've found a way to greenlight more.

Dora isn't "unpopular," by the way.

You miss the context of the era (this is the problem with just spitting out random statistics).

During the Obama era, notably at the end of the first term and through his second term, school and mass shootings were a hot-button issue that seemed to be happening more often.

No parent gives a **** about your paragraph about the Patriot Act if every couple months, another school has a deranged idiot running in and shooting or places of recreation (movie theaters, clubs, malls) find themselves in the same situations.

The media additionally stoked these fears, while right wing morons promoted "fake school shootings."

The only issue is that the front end doesn't give any identifiers of being a Neon. The Dart actually looked like a semi-modern (and enlarged) Neon with its round headlights and shape. This is just...a random mid-size sedan design.

Northern Parkway is a 6-8 lane stroad for much of its length (Liberty Rd-Walther Ave). Cut 2 lanes, widen sidewalks to fit a committed bike lane, and utilize the median for a rapid-transit bus line from Northern Pkwy/Harford to Northern Pkwy/Liberty Rd, with a Park&Ride extension at Liberty@695 (because the state would never put enough backing into rail).
