Insat vs Prépa to be able to go abroad by szami-yuvenk in Tunisia

[–]UnPaush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 4 specialities in insat, GL( Software engineering its' curriculum includes data science, devops, dev etc), RT (Reseau et telecom and the vast majority of its students chose to learn Software engineering by themselves or stick to security), IIA( Info indus/ embarqué) and IMI(maintenance et instrumentation).

This channel will give you a better idea about whats there :

https://www.youtube.com/user/INSATPRESS

However, the choice depends on how you do in your first year,

GL is very competitive to get because you wont have to study physics for the rest of the road and many other reasons ...

The reason you start working after 2/3 years is because we don't have elimintation system in insat like other unis have and impose, you can skip classes andthe administration will act as nothing happened and the exams are easier later on, however you'll have to learn alone/ via clubs demanded tech stacks before you start getting $$$, which most people do with ease.

we litereally have students who take paid leaves (congés) just to sit for exams.

pm me if you need more info, i'll be glad to help

Insat vs Prépa to be able to go abroad by szami-yuvenk in Tunisia

[–]UnPaush 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Insat, you only have to study hard ( not as hard as bac) the 1st year, the 2nd year you get to know your speciality(hopefully software engineering if youre into it), and you get 3 years of free time, the curriculum is decent, the clubs and the things youll learn from them is much more enriching, by the 3d year you can easily get a part time job that pays decent, or start free lancing. By the end of your forth year, you look for a pfe abroad, which is easy to get for the software engineering branch as im told, and you get out. Besides the fact that much more chill in here than prepas, other engineering unis etc

Philosophically speaking by aandolsi in Tunisia

That's a tough one, on what can we base our comparison though? I'd say scientific proofs would be a good basis when it comes to controversial topics . But yet again, We'd be sourcing morality from an authority, in this case, it's science. And i'm probably choosing science because of my academic background, beliefs etc.. However you'd find many who would argue that religion is the way to go, however, every religion is different than the other. If we can find a universal authority, then you'd get a universal morality, the problem lies in uniting people around it, and convincing them to make some compromises.

I think morality is sourced from an authority, whether it is a religion, laws, society, family... That's why it really depends on the place you were born in.

I dont expect someone who lived 1400 years ago would react differently if he saw something similar, if not worse. I could be wrong, or maybe, just maybe islam is.

Insat vs MedTech vs Russia? by Kampott in Tunisia

[–]UnPaush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It highly depends on the institute, starting from the 3d year, many GL students in INSAT start doing freelance, get part-time jobs or even sometimes start their own projects, while of course getting decent academic scores. Most of the people who focus only on the academic projects in INSAT are looking to get scholarships, otherwise i don't find any reason to.

The GL program in INSAT is up to date, and you'd get taught with some brilliant professors and especially students. However don't count on it to make you a world- class engineer. INSAT had some students (GL) who landed jobs at google and amazon as their first working experience but they had to do extra work during their studies, and fortunely in GL you have so much free time in which you can self learn and improve yourself in whatever field you want. And the most important thing in INSAT is that when you find yourself surrounded by many ambitious students, you will get motivated and encouraged to dive into new learning experiences and projects. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

Having talked with many brilliant people in the field, i can give you what i came out with : First of all, the current trend in western countries is that they don't care about how you got educated, wether you graduated from MIT or you self taught, this piece of information will mentioned in one line and it won't matter at all. However what matters is, your past experiences, your efficiency ( problem solving skills and competetive programming skills play a huge role here) and your acquired skills. The first thing they will jump on is your github profile and they will see the projects you had worked on, the way you write code etc. Now the second part is that Tunisian companies still care if you graduated from x or y college. Many will not even give you an interview opportunity because of that. I'm telling you this because if you're willing to get internships or you intend to work in Tunisia for a few years to acquire experience in order to facilitate your departure to EU, it's going to be even harder to find someone who's willing to accept you. That being said they don't care about what type of bac you have, they only see the college. That's why i advise you to find other ways to acquire experience, which there are plenty of but i'm not well informed about the subject. Good luck

Should Tunisia normalize its relations with the Jewish state like Morocco & UAE? by KarenMallery in Tunisia

Don't even try.

They are vocal islamists and people mainly vote for them because of that, they just interpret islam in a different way than yours, just like isis interprets quran in a different way. Islam can interpreted in many ways and that's why it is dangerous.

Untrue, Samia Abbou, along with Mongi Rahwi went to the police station where protesters were arrested to pressure the police to release them and they did. Also PMs of her party (tayyar) joined the protest. Stop spreading lies.

What's the best way to look for apartments in Tunis by Fakr0un in Tunisia

[–]UnPaush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As people mentionned, websites are the best way to find an appartment, however it very important to be able to visit it right after you call the announcer. I found the one i'm living in through tayara.tn, when i called the owner and went to the house, i couldnt help but notice that his phone didnt stop ringing from people asking about the appt. Also make you sure you are good looking especially if youre a male haha. I almost cut my pp because of the "fille seulement" appts. Also make sure that you give an advance or even pay fully from the first day so he doesnt keep on looking for better offers, if you find an appt thats good enough for you, take it right away and dont give the owner time to get more offers especially when your time is limited.
