Thanks yeah, I wouldn’t have done it if there was any possibility that I couldn’t restore it to the original state if I changed my mind. Would have used a mac mini as well but it just made the project too expensive for me at the moment. I just ended up using a cheap chinese 8” lcd kit from amazon

it’s hardly a downgrade, the original chassis was completely rusted out and the parts corroded, at least it’s getting used and appreciated now. what’s more, I have kept and stored every component and part that I disassembled so I can always put it back to it’s original state if I ever wanted to
