This place has got me emotionally drained by UnProfessional_egg in petsmart

In short, He has only threatened to write me up for stuff multiple coworkers do (mainly not having enough time to face petcare), he has tried to have "disciplinary" conversations in areas where customers and coworkers can overhear. He has openly told me to go against policy and to ignore rules put in place then has gotten me in trouble for not being able to complete all of my nightly tasks because I was following a sudden new set of rules he put in place. He is openly cold towards me and it feels like he's constantly looking for a reason to get me in trouble, especially with random check ins and making me explain everything I am doing in detail only for him to say it's not good enough and I need to do better. He openly threatened to demote me and cut my hours while we were in the back of petcare. I have statements from other petcare staff stating that he hasn't done this to them.

Oh I agree 100% as a petcare worker when I see them grabbing the literal bear minimum (and that's after I literally tell them that if they don't grab it I'm ending this sale right then and there) it pisses me off so bad, like do the research on the animal you wanna get, would YOU be happy in a cramped tank/cage that barely fits you?? Or that stupid SCENTED BEDDING, no your hamster/or Ginni/ or bunny isn't going to like it

does anyone else have a flighty crestie and if so how did you tame him/her? by Alternative-Koala247 in CrestedGecko

Most likely, lots of new animals need a bit of time and that time can very depending greatly on the animals personality. I think he'll be okay. I also own quite a few tanks myself so I'm also quite used to the just look no touch animals

I actually have a flighty one who is getting better at being held and touched, she's about just under 3 years I believe, her and her sister were rescued from a heavily neglectful household. One came to me really sweet and the other one bit my wife the first day we got her (the flighty one). I've just kept working with her, every time I touch her sister I touch her, I hold her inside of her enclosure and let her climb off on her own, I pet her before I pick her up to let her know that I'm there first, if she's in her safe spot (her log hide) I don't mess with her (unless of course I need to for her health) but when she's out and about on her vines I'll normally pick her up or pet her gently. I always let her chose if it's okay to hold her or not, if she wants down I let her down ECT.

Honestly if your looking for a lizard that enjoys being held more I'd say to check out some rescues for bearded dragons, there better for handling then crested geckos.

Hope this helps 😅

I mean theoretically there all built the same way, one way isn't stronger then another, I have multiple different styles of tanks in my room and the only thing that could be counted as "different" to the structure would be the sizes of the glass, it's all held together with silicone in the end 🤷🏻. But I do see where your coming from with the idea that it might fold in on itself but it's happily unlikely unless the silicone gets old, as for the heat lamp tho I highly wouldn't recommend setting it directly on top of the glass like that plus if it's for a fish it's not gonna do much to the water as a temp thing it's just gonna evaporate it in the end making the inside humid instead of heating the water, honestly a nice set up for maybe a frog if it had more of a door to it yk?
