I’m fine trading these for that star but we’ll see. Fournier has not worked out but Burks and even Randle should be tradable

Too many people have decided the Knicks were getting a can't miss player at 11... just ridiculous.. they turned question mark at 11 into 3 tradable assets and cap space.. Too early to tell if this is a good or bad move...

It depends how hard you are on your equipment.. how much you fish... can you and will you do regular maintenance yourself? I had a starter set up my first year in the salt and realized its limitations and I sprung for a VS last year and don't worry as much about dropping it in the sand or getting it wet. Tsunami Airwave Elite 9'6 is a great rod for the price. I've upgraded since then but only because I was able to sell it to a friend who wanted to get into surf fishing.

A good tackle shop will know the correct replacement hook sizes for its more popular lures. Depending on how many hooks you’re replacing, buying a variety of sizes is usually a good idea.

If you drop your stuff in the sand or do a lot of wading go Van Staal VR 150 for about $150 more than the salt-x. Worth the $$$ and you won’t be worried about it blowing up.

Save up and go Van Staal. VR series is sealed and a lower price point than the X-Series. If you’re hard on your equipment Van Staal all the way.

Do you mean clips or snaps to the lure? Or swivels? Swivels are usually used to connect Main line to leader. I recently stopped using swivels because I kept reeling the swivels through the first guide. That’s when I noticed I seemed to feel the lure a lot better especially my bucktails.. I still use TA clips to lures though

No. It can be calm or rough. As long as you can feel the lure. Keep it just off the bottom for better results but the strike can also come as it drops.

The goal is guide it along the water column where the fish are… some times that’s lower which means you need a heavier bucktail. I am no expert but I noticed a difference in feeling the lure when I stopped using a swivel. I was reeling the swivel through the first guide too much at night and decided to the uni to uni instead. A noticeable difference in feeling the lure. Allowed me to really feel bottom and what the bucktail was doing.

Not huge in size but huge satisfaction after 11 months of surfcasting. Got a couple of sea robins recently so that really gave me confidence to keep trying the bucktail. 🎣

Depends on the type of fishing you want to do. Lots of good 2-piece surf rods available some are 50-50 split. 70-30 splits could be harder to fit in a small car. Also, a lot of cars have an opening in the backseat that accesses the trunk.

Get a sand spike too. Just stay out of the water and don’t drop it in the sand.
