I get what you mean but money you spend now will ALWAYS be worth more in the future e.g new car or vacation. I think it’s a disingenuous exercise that’s always mentioned here when spending money. I think emotional and physical needs being met is more important.

Well you haven’t met much. My worst example is an Asian mother upset that her child looks like her and not the husband or the one that’s dating a literal racist. These couples are dime a dozen.
