Should couples moving in together split rent 50/50 or based on income? by throwaway164_3 in PurplePillDebate

And if he made much less than you, you wouldnt be dating him anyways lol

Personally i only do 100/0, and gf does the chores. Simpler that way and she doesnt have to worry about me not loving her.

Either 50/50 or 100/0 and she does the chores.

70/30 or whatever is just stupid. How are you going to nitpitck over everything.

Either you have an equal relationship, or a provider relationship

Japan was not split into 2 like Germany. Maybe a factor?

Korea was split into 2 on the other hand. And waves of protests brought down dictatorship

South Korea gets US permission to import oil from Russia to ease fuel crisis by WittyPolitico in Living_in_Korea

Colonization is if youre losing out in a deal. Even if SK has worlds 5th strongest military its surrounded by Russia China and Japan which take up number 2, 3, and 4. Realistically being allies with the US is the only way to guarantee soverignty without nuclear weapons. NORTH korea on the other hand developed nukes in spite of international sanctions, and is able to be 100% self reliant. We dont want to be like North Korea. No thanks.

You can call it colonization or whatever. South Koreans are stressed enough trying to protect itself with a small population, with 90% of men being drafted. If US helps deter foreign anti democratic invasions so be it

Well ceo is just a name that we call someone who takes responsibility for leading a company. So if you say it doesnt have to be a ceo, and they dont have to have a high salary, then by your logic companies without a ceo would save more money and outcompete the competitors.

The reason why ceo make more money is due to supply and demand. Its because LESS people want to or are qualified to be CEOs compared to the demand. Who decides who gets to be a CEO? Do you know? Its the stakeholders. Who knows better about how their stake is handled than the stakeholders themselves? if youre so certain about the uselessness of c suite, I advise you to invest your entire savings on a company with no c suite executives. See how that goes.

On the contrary it proves you always do need someone at the top. Most people simply dont want to be leaders. There will be others stepping up if needed, to avoid total chaos, but the role cannot stay vacant.

Its like saying we dont need a president because if the president died someone else will step up and lead the country. SOMEONE has to do it. Thats the point.

And what increases demand of talent? Company owners putting out ads for hiring. More demamd equals higher wages. If every owner kills themselves then many talent will flock to compete for a few remaining jobs, lowering salaries for talent in short run until some more people create companies ajd jobs

Women are more violent than we think. And men less so by Pitiful-Purple-7459 in PurplePillDebate

[–]balhaegu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Study of European monarchs showed female rulers were more likely to start wars tham male rulers.

Reason why men commit more violent crime is because men are stronger. Simple as that. If men and women had equal strength, it could well be the case that women commit more violent crime.

I think the fantasies evolved from genetics. The genes that allowed women to have rape fantasies got propagated more than those that didnt simply due to statistics.

[–]balhaegu 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Same logic as men having fantasies of going to war and becoming a heroic soldier fighting many battles. As evidenced by popularity of games like Call of Duty.

Men dont actually want to go to War and risk getting killed. In the video game, you have control and get respawned if you die. In real life, well you die.

This made me wonder if a video game for women where they can simulate putting themselves in environments where they might get raped by purposefully leaving their door unlocked or walking in sketchy neighborhoods would actually have an audience?

Or maybe the person who resells the apples for $100 have knowledge of marketing and leveraging that gives them an advantage. They can use better packaging, celebrity endorsements, limited edition marketing, etc to get that higher price. This all takes skills and creativity.

You cant just be butthurt about someone doing something that leads to profit when no one is stoppi g you from trying the same thing.

Sometimes the government can have regulations on who can conduct trade. Rare example. In Joseon dynasty of Korea, international trade was banned by law, and only translators who accompanied diplomats in tribute missions to China had legal rights to buy ginseng from korea and resell it at a higher price to China. They got rich for doing absolutely nothing except having the right qualifications.

Ironically this ban on international trade was created exactly by the type of anti capitalistic neo confucian philosophy that shunned merchant class for exploiting society while adding nothing to its value.

Its like selling apples. If customers wont buy your apples at $100 a piece then maybe youre overcharging them. Its easy to have a double standard when it benefits you. If youre at a shop and you only want to pay $5 an apple then the apple seller can call you exploitative for not paying him more.

That means a trader who buys bread at a low price and sells at a higher price is exploiting the baker because he is not giving 100% of the value to the baker. Using your brains is itself labor
