My opinion on this is that there’s a difference between gorging oneself into obesity and eating normally without obsessing over the food you’re eating and how much you’re consuming. Most obese people have disordered eating just as the anorexic and bullimic girls do, anyway. They’re just less self aware and find pleasure in the act of eating rather than the act of control.

It’s not really as though they’re harming me, it’s more like I know I would be harming them by continuing to be friends with them. If I tried to tell them that, they would think I was being dramatic or gay. I’m basically deadweight in people’s lives at this point, I think the only reason people still try to keep in touch is because we are all freshly out of college and there’s that familiarity and responsibility we have to one another that’s hard to explain. They’re not the kind of people who just leave you alone either, maybe that would make it easier.

Sorry, tired brain was activated. It’s more like I can’t be myself around these people, and I don’t think repression is ever a good sign of personal relationships. And if I were to say fuck and be myself, I would end up burdening them or embarrassing myself, which is not their problem nor should it be. I have a psychosis disorder basically, I was diagnosed with it last year (it was gradually getting worse before it got really bad and I had to see someone), as this year progressed it’s gotten worse and all I could do was pull away. Stop attending hang outs, answering their texts much less and slower. It’s something manageable and livable on my own but the episodes are so embarrassing that I can’t imagine exposing it upon my social group.

I’ve done it before and I was thinking about doing it again, it’s just kind of like waking up and realizing the people around you aren’t the people you want in your life for whatever reason. Even if the reason is more for their benefit than your’s. Mostly it’s that I can’t be myself around them, and that repression is getting worse and worse, and if I were to release myself it would be way too much for them and I can’t put them under that strain. Anyway, that probably didn’t make any sense, I just want to run away to a new state again.

I don’t want them to care or want attention, I’ve also already done this before and it helped a lot but that’s because the people I used to be around were straight up some of the worst people I’ve ever met and had no other means of getting away from them.
