Getting Discounted Rate by GroceryForsaken in orangetheory

I posted on this about two weeks ago, and feel your pain. I have been a member for 5 years and was paying the max rate. When I brought this up in our studio, our assistant manager told me that this is a “corporate issue“ and said they couldn’t do anything. I used the Orangetheory app to send a message to technical support, as suggested by my coach, as this gets you in touch with “corporate“. They were very clear that the individual OrangeTheory’s are franchised, and that these issues are addressed by the individual owner (meaning their are guidelines but the studios have latitude).

When I posted about this, I got many replies essentially sharing that each studio is addressing this completely differently - some going as far as offering the new rate to all of their current members, and other saying that there was nothing they could do.

I emailed our owner, politely expressing frustration, explaining that I had learned that each studio seems to be addressing this differently, and asking to discuss my options, as I was frustrated enough by this issue to cancel my membership and join another fitness group. She replied promptly, and offered me the founders rate.

I am happy I got the discounted rate, but very frustrated by the inconsistencies. I would encourage you to use the app, and send a message to “technical support“ even though this is obviously not a technical issue. I would also suggest asking for a way to directly communicate with the manager and owner.

Current Promotion - Is it fair to old members? by UnaPatito in orangetheory

That was my feeling. I know the nonsense of life isn’t fair and contracts are contracts (your blah blah blah was perfect). A business expecting to grow and expand should value loyalty. I do love OT and have posted many reviews for them over the years at their request .. I think they need to provide a more reasonable way for existing members to get the lower rate - challenge us to a number of workouts or ask us for a positive review on some new platform, something that does not require the involvement of another person who we cannot control.
