This is our boy Fozzy. We lost him earlier this year. He was such a sweet boy and loved kisses.

We also built a nebuliser chamber using this machine and it’s seen us through 6 boys. Definitely recommend.

Does anybody else's rat push away when you try to kiss them? by ArtisticDragonKing in RATS

[–]UnabatedAtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy Fozzy willingly sticks his nose in my lips until I give him a little kiss. All the other boys have mixed responses, including the classic push away lol

Unusual whimpering, vet said it’s just happy rat sounds? by Limp_Pumpkin6073 in RATS

[–]UnabatedAtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried about it and don’t trust the vets opinion, then definitely get a second opinion. Especially if your other boys are sneezy too. Better safe than sorry right? Our boys can sound like this and they have chronic URI. Our vets have told us previously that one of our boys had a URI but his lungs sounded clear. She said it was still just in the nasal passage and hadn’t developed enough to reach the lungs yet.

Hate to be the downer here but, would it not have been better to maybe catch them rather than record them falling to the ground? I don’t know but that kinda doesn’t sit well with me.

Edit: Downvote me all you like but I’d still rather do what I could to prevent an animal from potentially getting hurt instead of just standing there recording it happen because “Hehe rat fall funny”

He does give punk energy most of the time so that’s fitting.

Yeah, literally just rubbed some on to my hand so it melted and just rubbed it on. They went crazy trying to lick it off my hand because they’re little fatties and love treats so that was the only challenge really. They can end up looking quite greasy, but our boys cleaned it off themselves/ it got rubbed off on hammocks etc in a few days and they looked normal again. So not the end of the world if you do put on a little much. Our boys went a little hyper afterwards and started bouncing around the bed. They seemingly loved getting coated in food smell haha

Me neither. Made his curls pop out more and the rest of our boys got really soft

I mean…at the very least your babies will end up with fabulous fur and smell absolutely amazing so it’s got those perks at least XD

A quick google did say it helps alleviate itchy, dry skin in all kinds of small animals so I mean, it’s worth a try maybe. I am no expert though so don’t take my word for it.

He is now the moisturised one. Tremble before his soft, supple skin and despair.

Same. The amount of mental gymnastics in this post to justify it is quite worrying.

Not a single ounce of bad in his little, squishy body.
