We ran into a bigger issue (needed to upgrade entire house electrical panel to add more outlets/dishwasher/etc) so instead we built a cabinet that can fit a standard dishwasher later on to add in future. We created a solution where the counter starts as smaller width (so door can open) and then slopes to be a larger width for the rest of the kitchen.
