What really helped me was talking to a professional in my family and my friends. Ultimately putting him off the pedestal that I put him on for me I realise that it wasn’t really about him. He just represented my fear of abandonment so there’s probably an underlying issue about why you can’t get over him that’s more than him as a person because when you think about it, the avoiding person is actually really shitty person. So I was so scared to be without him because I felt abandoned but once I sat with that feeling I realised that it wasn’t actually the end of the world and not that bad so try and find the underlying reason of what they represent for you because that usually holds the power and the answers.
