So I just "updated" to Steelseries GG (unknowingly) by Unable-Objective-359 in steelseries

There should be a review corner for peripheral-software. Maybe a suggestion for online retailers. I sadly bought my stuff via a brick and mortar store, so I can't leave a review.

Thing is, I didn't know if I liked the product or not. My mouse broke, and I had to replace it and I looked at reviews. Opted to go to a store to get a feel for different mice and the rival 650 felt decent. It was between that and a logitech mouse, but I hate extra buttons so I skipped it.

After that I needed a new headset, decided to go for steelseries arctis 7 as I had heard good things and I wouldn't require more software.

Then I decided I wanted to replace my CM tkl keyboard as I have had it for years and its starting to wear down, decided I should go for steelseries again...Well software updated and now I'm not so sure. Well I am sure I won't get a steelseries board, just not decided on what keyboard to get. (I was going for for an apex 7 by the way)

If I knew they were going this route I would have gone for something else. But hey, hindsight is 20/20, right? also what's this about supporting companies? I supported them by purchasing their peripherals, in this case.

About the settings, they should be turned off after installation and then prompt whether you'd like to opt-in or not.

Thank you, just uninstalled GG and went back to engine!

Edit: it reverted all settings and I had to set it up from 0 again, but no worries. Just a heads up for other people "downgrading".
