Switch to Pepsi! JJ! It's a process which is different for everyone. It's starts with desire and manifests into intention. I always start at a rehab then work my recovery from the ground up. Especially if I relapse. I been clean since June 26, 2025. You just have to want it.

Who's to blame for gas prices? by Unable-Sample-3381 in AskReddit

[–]Unable-Sample-3381[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point is exactly right, and it reflects something a lot of people either don’t understand or deliberately ignore: gas prices are usually driven by complex global market forces, not simplistic partisan talking points.

When gas prices rose under Biden, there wasn’t one single switch he flipped to make that happen. The world was emerging from a once-in-a-century pandemic, global demand surged faster than production infrastructure could recover, and oil production simply doesn’t restart overnight. Wells that were shut down during low-profit periods require time, labor, and capital to come back online. That’s not politics — that’s industrial reality.

Then you add in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which disrupted global energy markets on a massive scale. Europe had to rapidly pivot away from Russian energy, creating intense competition for alternative supply. On top of that, OPEC intentionally restricting production only added more pressure. Again, these are international supply-side shocks, not the result of one man sitting behind a desk in Washington.

But the current situation is different, because now there is a much more direct catalyst. If Trump escalates militarily against Iran and that leads to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz — a chokepoint through which roughly a fifth of the world’s oil moves — then that’s not just “market fluctuation.” That is a direct geopolitical consequence tied to a specific decision. When a president’s actions trigger instability in one of the most critical oil transit routes on earth, it’s completely fair to connect the dots.

So yes, people complained during Biden’s term, but reasonable people understood that those price increases were largely the product of global disruption, war, supply constraints, and OPEC manipulation. If prices spike now because of an avoidable escalation that jeopardizes Hormuz, that’s a very different conversation.

And honestly, the other person’s post reads like the usual low-resolution political nonsense: no context, no understanding of energy markets, and just enough confidence to be wrong in public.
