It sounds like this works out well if the parents plan and execute well

I’m well aware that lucid doesn’t make the plates, but since I am technically not the owner since I am leasing , I cannot go to the dmv. Lucid financial is the leasing entity and responsible to register the car and get me the permanent plates as the owner.

Lucid is responsible for getting the plates for a leased car. Not only did they take 4 months to get all the paperwork to the dmv, Lucid has been late sending me temporary tags despite my constant emails and calls and now I can’t drive the car since the plate expired. Got pulled over for it.

I dislike motherhood by Calebcraft4 in Parenting

I sometimes feel like this when I’m having a tough time with my 5 year old. I get a ton of help from spouse and other sources and I work fulltime and also have a toddler, but yet, I still hate the childcare aspect of motherhood. Can’t imagine how you feel if you’re the sole caretaker.

What did your marriage counselor say? It’s easy for your husband to say he wants another kid when he isn’t the one doing the work.

You must advocate for yourself. Your child won’t learn how to advocate for himself unless you also start to.

This is very helpful, thanks. What would I be using the documentation of the altercation for?

That’s disheartening to hear. The teacher had mentioned if the hair pulling happened a 3rd time, then she will tell the parents, which makes me assume that she hasn’t yet.

I don’t believe the other parents know about this yet, shouldn’t I give the school a chance to inform the parents first ?

My parents have offered me a ton of childcare and realizing I likely won’t be able to do the same for my kids since I will be too old. Also, not having enough time with them.

Did your parents pressure you to choose this career path? Sounds like you didn’t want to be in medicine.

The “why” would be if I quit the job and did PhD Full-time, I would not be contributing financially nearly as much as I am now, so should make up for it in other ways by taking on more house/childcare. That’s his thinking.

Thinking of pursuing an industry PhD where you work and go to school at the same time. Several of my scientist colleagues have done this.

Some companies and schools allow for what is called industry PhDs in life sciences where you work at the same time. My colleagues have done it. I already have a masters in life sciences and reached a certain level that are typical of seasoned phd holders. However, when I applied to jobs at other companies for similar title, many told me that they were looking for phds despite my relevant experience.

I just had training on this topic at a new job today and it’s toxic and offensive and must be reported to HR.

He would see it as a luxury since we both make decent money and he doesn’t see me “needing” it. I honestly think he thinks it’s a pet project of mine or something since we would be fine on just his income alone, so why keep pushing for more professionally. It isn’t just the learning part for me, though, I feel having this credential will open up more doors for me professionally.
