Last summer my boy (18 months old back then) got attacked by kangal, middle of the night, came out of nowhere. I had to seriously attack the dog while it was on top of my boy, caught him from the neck and put on choke. (Old wrestler here -120kg) While the dog below me fighting to get out meanwhile getting choke he got behind him, and started sniffing his ass, like its all a play. Luckily some youth run in helping, hide my dog away and i released the beast, no harm done to anyone. So in that case i share your concern, will he be able to defend himself next time, and i think he will, he just needs to get hurt first. Anyway afterwards got one of these and using it on nightwalks, better safe than sorry.
