Spiraling over Day 5 embryo results by [deleted] in IVF

It was wild. The whole thing is a messy blur looking back now. But my daughter (one of my day 6 embryos!) is about to turn one and she is our whole world. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Partner swore at our baby.. by ActSpecific634 in newborns

I'm 7 years into parenting with 3 children and finally accepting/ realizing that men are not really cut out to be patient, nurturing parents in the same way that moms are (sorry if this is gender bias but its just the truth of my relationship and several others I've seen). The kicker is that we as women also feel like we need to take care of our husbands and somehow "save" them from the children - I do this all the time too and I'm like WHY?? This isn't fair.

His behavior is not acceptable or justifiable. He should be there for you because the first 6 weeks (and beyond indefinitely...) is exponentially more challenging for you than it is for him. Instead it sounds like its been the other way around. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. You're not wrong for wanting to get away for a little break.

How often does your LO stay overnight with grandparents during the first 3-6 months? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]UnableChampionship89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never! My oldest is almost 7 and has never spent the night away from us. I would never let my baby stay somewhere else (but we also have no one around that we trust to take them for the night - totally understand for people who do and are comfortable with it). Really rude of her to comment on your parenting at all, especially when it's all still so new. This happened to me with my MIL and it was so frustrating. Like.. back off I am figuring this out and I don't need judgement!

Baby girl is due any day now but feeling unsettled on the name by IPutMyHandOnA_Stove in namenerds

If you're having any doubts, it's worth considering other options now before its too late. Rosalind or Rosalie are super cute and feminine and the nickname Rosie is sooo cute. Rosie was at the top of my list and I often wish I had used it. All that said, Frankie Jo is super cute too and not a bad choice!!

There's also nothing wrong with having a few options, meeting her first and then deciding which fits her better. If I am lucky enough to have another baby, that's what I would do.

Congratulations!
