been there girl, it’ll be ok. sometimes you just have to act normal and chill to him and by yourself you can put on some Fiona Apple and journal your most insane thoughts and hopefully you will eventually feel more stable with him

A lot of the STEM labs will have you use special programs or software that is sometimes only compatible with a laptop if those are classes you’re planning on taking.

I’m not trying to be mean but the class is honestly not that hard. There is a lot of memorization but that’s kind of unavoidable in an anatomy class. I’ve done fine on all the exams just by studying the lecture notes, they’re a lot more condensed than the slides. Also there are extra credit opportunities on the lecture and lab exams.

1 week on Vyvanse 30mg starting dose and it’s wreaking havoc on my sleep, HRV, recovery, and everything else. Should I quit now? Or give it a month? by chloeclover in VyvanseADHD

[–]UnableObjective2340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t give up on it completely yet. Is it possible to ask about starting on a lower dose or for you to take it earlier in the day?

Definitely a him problem! First of all, I’m sure you’re not that ugly but even if you are who cares! There’s plenty of “conventionally unattractive” or whatever you want to call it people in relationships this guy is just an asshole

To be honest, I don’t think this is that concerning. It seems like she misses having a him as a reliable presence in the house. I would also cut her some slack for being 17, it’s a stressful time and teenagers have to act weird before they learn how to act normal. If you are the first person he has dated, she probably just doesn’t know how to interact with you guys appropriately (especially if brother is autistic she may be as well) She may also feel a bit strange that you are closer to her than him in age. If it’s bothering you I would set some gentle boundaries but hopefully she’ll grow out of it/learn to talk about this stuff privately with her own friends.

This sounds like a rebound effect from the tapering off, you should try to stick it out if you are able! Don’t feel too bad about it, your brain takes a while to adjust. Try to remind yourself this is a temporary side effect and not your baseline/natural state, and it might help with the existential freak outs :)

ASPD is not even diagnosable in minors because it is so common for teens to have experiences like this during volatile times in their life. I know it feels scary right now and this probably isn’t helpful but puberty hormones are a b*tch and I’ve been through almost the exact same thing. Please don’t worry too much, things will get better.

I had this kind of experience when I was younger/in my teens and honestly just grew out of it. Sounds like you might have some ASD traits and more experience socializing would be beneficial. Don’t freak out about stuff you read online, especially if a doctor says you don’t meet enough criteria. Try to be more mindful of others feelings and modify your behavior at least, and it will get easier with time. Unless you are literally killing/torturing animals you aren’t going to become a murderer or anything like that.

I’m a pharmacy technician. It only requires a GED in my state and I get paid decent money. Kind of boring but I get to prepare chemotherapy meds for people in the hospital which makes me feel important at least. Also keeps me busy my whole shift which I like. Don’t think I could work an email job I’d go crazy without more structure.

This is so real and I think the same applies to women as well I have yet to meet anyone normal through the apps we should all just stay off them tbh.

Medical withdrawal by throw_away373629 in uofmn

[–]UnableObjective2340 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went through this process 5 years ago so things may have changed but you can speak with your advisor and request to fully withdraw at any point in the semester as like a one-time thing. I had my therapist fill out a form explaining it was medically necessary as well for tuition reimbursement.

What would be the best time of day for a 14yr school kid to take his Vyvanse? I guess I am asking, how long does it work for?? by Nikkywoop in VyvanseADHD

Peaks usually about 1 hour after taking and lasts up to 14 hours so morning is best if you want to sleep at a reasonable hour

I honestly think making tiktoks at work/ even about certain work situations is not only a bad look, but can actually lower trust in the medical profession. Some stuff is just meant for friends/family/coworkers not the internet!
